How to Place Bids on Auctions
Hereโs everything you need to know about bidding on ITAD Auctions.
Placing a Bid
Bidding is simple:
- Open the auction listing youโre interested in
- Enter your bid โ it must be higher than the current bid
- Click Place Bid to submit
Tip: Bid realistically based on the productโs value for a better chance of winning.
Auto-Bidding
Let the system bid for you โ and save time.
What is Auto-Bidding?
Auto-Bidding automatically raises your bid to stay ahead, up to your personal max.
How to set it up:
- Click Set Auto-Bid on the listing
- Enter your maximum bid (the highest you're willing to pay)
- The system will outbid others by the minimum increment until your max is reached
- Your maximum is kept confidential โ only you can see it.
Key Rules to Remember
- Winning: You win only if your bid meets or exceeds the sellerโs target price
- If not met, the seller has 48h to accept or reject
- No takebacks: Bids canโt be withdrawn once placed
- Multiple bidders: Others can also bid or set Auto-Bids โ stay alert!
Notifications Youโll Receive
- If youโre outbid โ so you can react
- When the auction ends โ including win/loss result
After the Auction Ends
If youโre the winning bidder:
- Youโll get an email with seller contact info
- You arrange payment and shipping directly
If your bid didnโt meet the target price:
- The seller has 48h to decide whether to accept or decline
