How to Place Bids on Auctions

Hereโ€™s everything you need to know about bidding on ITAD Auctions.

Placing a Bid

Bidding is simple:

  • Open the auction listing youโ€™re interested in
  • Enter your bid โ€“ it must be higher than the current bid
  • Click Place Bid to submit

Tip: Bid realistically based on the productโ€™s value for a better chance of winning.

Auto-Bidding

Let the system bid for you โ€” and save time.

What is Auto-Bidding?

Auto-Bidding automatically raises your bid to stay ahead, up to your personal max.

How to set it up:

  • Click Set Auto-Bid on the listing
  • Enter your maximum bid (the highest you're willing to pay)
  • The system will outbid others by the minimum increment until your max is reached
  • Your maximum is kept confidential โ€” only you can see it.

Key Rules to Remember

  • Winning: You win only if your bid meets or exceeds the sellerโ€™s target price
  • If not met, the seller has 48h to accept or reject
  • No takebacks: Bids canโ€™t be withdrawn once placed
  • Multiple bidders: Others can also bid or set Auto-Bids โ€” stay alert!

Notifications Youโ€™ll Receive

  • If youโ€™re outbid โ€“ so you can react
  • When the auction ends โ€“ including win/loss result

After the Auction Ends

If youโ€™re the winning bidder:

  • Youโ€™ll get an email with seller contact info
  • You arrange payment and shipping directly

If your bid didnโ€™t meet the target price:

  • The seller has 48h to decide whether to accept or decline
